Returns and refunds
You can change the product size in your order until the order is shipped. Please note that a last-minute change may increase the time it takes to receive your product.
Once an order is placed it is not possible to cancel it.
Products cannot be exchanged. We reserve the right to exchange the product if the buyer pays the costs associated with the return, including the import and customs costs associated with the return outside the European Union (20-50% of the product cost, depending on the country). Please contact firstname.lastname@example.org as soon as possible if you have any questions about the exchange.
Unfortunately, we do not accept product returns or exchanges. Only defective products can be returned and/or exchanged. You can read more about our return policy here.
If an item received is faulty or is got damaged during transit, you must please contact our customer service team at email@example.com within 7 days of receipt with photographs and a detailed description of the damage.
Orders and shipping
All orders are shipped by our logistic partner Pakipoint, we provide worldwide shipping service. Shipping cost is applied at the checkout procedure. Import duties, local taxes, and fees are not included and will be the sole responsibility of the client.
Once your order is shipped, you will receive an email with a tracking number, you can track your parcel with this number. You can also use the respective tracking number at your local postage provider, the tracking number is international.
With standard delivery, please check your national postal service, ex. USPS for the US, Canada Post
for Canada, etc.
We can start the inquiry when 4 weeks have passed since the package was sent out.
If you see that after leaving the for destination country your package has not arrived within 4 weeks
and the tracking has not been updated either, please let us know as soon as possible at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Customers can always make a request/inquiry directly to the postal services of the destination country, even before 4 weeks.”
If you discover that a delivery attempt has been made, but you have not been able to receive it, please contact the courier company that is delivering the package as soon as possible. If the package is not received on time, it will be returned to the sender, i.e. us. In this case, please contact us at
email@example.com. It may take 4-12 weeks for the package to return to us. Once we have received the package, we will perform a quality control, check the delivery address from you and resend the order.
After your order has been manufactured and prepared (see here), your order will be sent according to the selected delivery method. We offer standard and express delivery. Standard delivery to the EU countries usually takes about 4-7 working days, the rest of the world 2-4 weeks. All express shipments are shipped with DHL Express, delivery time is 2-4 working days.
It is possible to change the delivery address until the package has been sent out. Please write to firstname.lastname@example.org as soon as possible.
Your order will be processed and prepared within 4 weeks after you placed the order. Please notice that during specific periods and bank holidays, preparation of orders may experience slight delay, please feel free to contact email@example.com to verify the status of your order.
Customers are required to provide a part of their information such as valid shipping address and receiver's data.
Once an order is placed and the payment is approved, you will receive an order confirmation email to the address registered in the system. If you haven’t received the confirmation email, please check your spam folder.
Sizing and fitting
Our size charts always show the measurements of the item of clothing, not the measurements of the person for whom the corresponding size would fit. This is because many of our items are cut differently than standard clothing, and hopefully this will give you a better idea of how the garment might fit.
Since the technical cutting patterns of our products are often deliberately different from standard items in order to achieve a specific fit, choosing the right size can be more difficult. If possible, use thejacket measurements given in the size chart and take into account the additional information provided with each product. For women, we generally recommend choosing a product at least one size smaller.In the case of Kim's Aerostatic jackets, a general recommendation can be made (but not only!) based on the person's height, which is as follows:
XXS 160-165cm/ 5.25- 5.4 feet
XS 165-170cm/ 5.4-5.56 feet
S 170-175cm/ 5.56-5.74 feet
M 175-182cm/ 5.74-5.97 feet
L 182-187cm/ 5.97-6.14 feet
XL 187-192cm/ 6.14-6.30 feet
XXL 190-cm/ 6.23- feet
It's definitely not recommended to go based on this alone, because all of our bodies are different, and only taking this information into account may not guarantee a suitable fit for you. Unfortunately, if you order the wrong size, the product cannot be exchanged. If you have any doubts, please write to us at firstname.lastname@example.org and we will try to help you.
All of our products have washing instructions inside, which information should be used first. If the product is machine washable, we always recommend choosing the coldest and gentlest possible program. For delicate clothes, the product can always be hand-washed. You shouldn’t put clothes in the dryer, as it damages the clothing fibre. Kim's Aerostatic Pilot jacket shell is made of 100% cotton dry-waxed fabric and Aerostatic Crewman jacket is made of 100% waxed cotton. Waxed cotton fabric is a material with a long history and use, which has many unique properties. Over time, waxed fabrics develop marks, scuffs, and patinas that are the inherent characteristics of waxed garments. They make each jacket unique to the wearer and should not be taken as faults.
Waxed fabric has a few rules:
- if possible, do not wash the jacket
- do not use soap or fabric softener when washing
- do not machine wash, tumble dry, iron or dry clean
- if necessary, we recommend hand-washing
Care between wear:
- Brush off any loose dirt or grit with a soft clean shoe brush
- Try to avoid spot-cleaning, as it will lighten the area by removing some wax.
- If unavoidable, widen the cleaning area considerably. Soak and scrub lightly with a soft brush.
- Dry, check, and repeat if necessary.
- Let the jacket air out
If washing is essential, soak the jacket in cold water and wash the jacket gently by hand. However, we ask you to pay attention to the reflectors and the zipper slides when washing, because rubbing can damage their quality. The jacket should be waxed again after every thorough cleaning and also after long-term wearing.
Reproof (re-waxing) your jacket:
- Brush off any loose dirt with a brush
- If needed, use cold water and a sponge to clean out extra dirt
- Hang until completely dry
- Get some reproofing wax for cotton (e.g. Otter Wax) & FOLLOW WAX INSTRUCTIONS.
Re-waxing will restore some of the original shine, pronounced marks, and scuffs.
Machine washing or dry cleaning of the jacket is the sole responsibility of the customer. They should be used as an absolute last resort. For machine washing, the jacket must be zipped, the pocket zipper slides must be placed under the hem and the jacket must be turned inside out. Wash with cold water and a gentle program. Despite the precautions, machine washing can damage the print on the jacket's reflectors and the zipper sliders. For dry cleaning, all reflectors and the zipper sliders should be covered with some protective material. The print on the reflectors is not intended for dry cleaning.
These are functional pockets and sewn shut for the finished look. This technique is usually used to ensure that the pockets in the store do not stretch out and lose their shape. Although no one tries our jackets and they come directly from the seamstress, it has always been her desire to sew these pockets shut. A separate seam has been used for this and the thread should be loose. You can pull it or cut it with small scissors. Please feel free to open them up and use them!

Generally, Atelier Zaum does not offer special requests. The question here is not whether we can do it or not, it's our policy that we don't offer the customer any design changes that make this jacket unique or significantly different from others.
